Born near Shreveport, La., in the small town of Many, La., Christian’s passion for cooking started while watching his mother in the kitchen. As a teenager and young adult he honed his culinary skills working in several restaurants and retirement home dining facilities in New Orleans.

​

​In 2012, Christian was chosen to compete for the “Master Chef ” title on the Fox- Television cooking series MasterChef. The program held an open call in New Orleans and he was selected to compete against 29 other chefs selected nation wide for Season 5 episodes taped in Los Angeles. He was also a runner up on Season 12.  

​

It was an intense competition, but Christian was among the top five remaining contenders. His culinary skills and knack for well-seasoned and beautifully cooked meat entrees helped him succeed on the show.

​

In 2020, Chef Christian was chosen as the best chef in Louisiana from amongst all the others.
